Role Description The Title Processor is a full-time, on-site role based in Matawan, NJ. This role is responsible for reviewing title orders, conducting title searches, and preparing title commitments and policies in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines. Daily tasks include verifying property information, identifying and resolving title issues, coordinating with lenders, attorneys, and customers, and managing escrow and closing documentation. The Title Processor will maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with state and company standards, and provide clear, timely updates to all parties involved in the transaction. This role also assists with balancing closing packages, coordinating disbursements, and supporting a smooth closing experience for clients.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients, lenders, attorneys, and internal team members.
- Knowledge of Notary practices and Escrow procedures, with the ability to handle closing documents and escrow funds accurately.
- Basic Accounting skills to review settlement statements, reconcile figures, and ensure accurate disbursements.
- Experience or training in title processing, real estate, or mortgage operations is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Matawan, NJ, with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Proficiency with title production software and common office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Familiarity with New Jersey real estate and title insurance regulations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in real estate, finance, or related fields is an advantage.
