Job Description
Mega Locksmith & Security is a well-established locksmith and security company serving the greater Chicagoland area. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced full-time locksmith and installation technician to join our team.
We are looking for a skilled, dependable technician who takes pride in their work, provides excellent customer service, and can complete installations and repairs professionally and correctly.
Specific attention will be paid to candidates with strong hands-on experience with:
- Deadbolt installation and replacement
- Knob and lever lock installation
- Commercial and residential lock hardware
- Door closer installation, adjustment, and replacement
- Rekeying and cylinder replacement
- Lockouts
- Door and frame hardware
- Troubleshooting lock, door, and closer issues
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of professional locksmithing experience
- Strong experience with residential and commercial locksmith work
- Proficient in installing deadbolts, knobs, lever locks, and door closers
- Skilled in rekeying, lock changes, lockouts, and hardware installation
- Ability to properly diagnose door and locking hardware issues
- Ability to work independently and complete jobs efficiently
- Professional appearance and strong customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Clean driving record
- Valid PERC Card required
- Experience with access control, intercoms, surveillance systems, or other security systems is a plus

About the Position
This is a hands-on field position throughout the Chicagoland area. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing locksmith and door hardware issues, recommending appropriate solutions, completing installations and repairs, and communicating professionally with customers.
We are specifically looking for someone who is already comfortable performing everyday locksmith installations, including deadbolts, knobs, lever locks, cylinders, and door closers.
Quality workmanship is extremely important. We want someone who can arrive at a job, properly diagnose the issue, complete the work correctly, and leave the customer confident in the repair or installation.
