Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and friendly service
- Prepare food items efficiently following safety and quality standards, including food handling and sanitation protocols
- Operate kitchen equipment safely to cook, assemble, and package menu items in a timely manner
- Manage cash register operations, processing cash transactions and handling cash with precision
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction through effective suggestive selling techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen spaces to meet sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and supporting overall restaurant sanitation efforts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is highly preferred; food service experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cashiering experience is advantageous
- Strong food preparation skills and knowledge of food safety management practices
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and managing sales accurately
- Customer service-oriented attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team
- Experience in retail sales transactions or grocery store environments is beneficial but not required
