What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Account Representative (Bilingual Chinese) position at Mega Bank?

Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a New Accounts Representative at a bank/credit union.
- Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English.
- Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills.
- Proven working experience in banking, personal banking, retail banking or financial services.
- Basic PC knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Customer service and sales skills.
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills.
Job Duties
- Establish proper identification of the new customer. Verify with Chex System, or equivalent to determine if the customer is eligible to open accounts with us. Consult with supervisor for approval if further approval is needed to open or refuse to open new accounts.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of bank's existing, new products and services offered.
- Comply with all Bank policies in handling/opening all accounts including all interest and non-interest bearing accounts and safe deposit boxes.
- Answer all inquiries regarding interest rate, depository accounts, and other services that Bank offers. New Accounts Representative is also responsible to redirect all loan inquiries to the branch loan department.
- Filing new account reports, new/closed signature and new accounts documentation and information sheet.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned by Branch Manager.
