Warehouse Associate/Shipping Assistant

Mega Aid Pharmacy is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Shipping Assistant to work 40 hours out of our warehouse in Brooklyn, NY.

We are located at Brooklyn Army Terminal and you be able and willing to work on-site at Brooklyn Army Terminal from Monday to Friday.

Position Summary:  Responsible for various duties including order fulfillment, stock management, and operating warehouse equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Assemble materials in the warehouse.
• Daily trash collection and removal of stored trash bags to appropriate site locations.
• Assists in shipping and receiving pharmaceutical supplies and materials.
• Receives packages, stores and distributes them to respective departments per the company policy.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming shipments.
• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the warehouse and organized work area. Associates should do daily warehouse checks to ensure all stock is placed correctly.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Load and unload trucks using proper lifting techniques.
• Perform regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
• Reports completed tasks to supervisor.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
• Perform House Logistics duties as needed.
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications of the Warehouse Associate/Shipping Assistant:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous experience as Warehouse Associate or similar role preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
• Good communication skills

Specialized Skills:

• Must be punctual, reliable, and dependable.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work well under minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Technical Skills:

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Familiarity with Windows PC applications.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Physical Activities:  Standing full shifts, sitting, reaching, grasping, lifting, walking, climbing, and kneeling.
• Ability to lift heavy objects to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required
• Mental Activities:  Perform activities requiring sustained concentration. e.g., planning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
