Job Summary
The Sourcing Specialist supports the Category Management and Sourcing team within Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. This role partners with Category Leaders and Category Managers to execute sourcing and procurement activities across multiple categories, including materials, equipment, and services. The position focuses on contract execution, vendor coordination, and procurement process support, ensuring efficient and compliant purchasing operations.
Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end sourcing processes, including review of Statements of Work (SOWs), budgets, payment schedules, and contract execution workflows using a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and coordinate with legal and business stakeholders to ensure contract terms meet business requirements.
- Assist in vendor sourcing activities, including RFIs and RFPs, vendor evaluations, and bid processes.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence and industry trends to support category strategies.
- Coordinate and schedule vendor presentations, demonstrations, and stakeholder meetings.
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring timely order follow-up and issue resolution.
- Resolve accounts payable and receiving discrepancies as needed.
- Support vendor accruals, forecasting processes, and vendor confirmations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination.
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations; pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and data management skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience with ERP and purchasing systems (SAP preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
