About This Role
The IT System Support Analyst II will provide advanced technical support for Windows desktop environments within a manufacturing setting. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement of IT systems, including Windows Active Directory, computer backup systems, and basic networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Windows desktop support and troubleshooting for end-users in a manufacturing environment.
- Administer and support Windows Active Directory, including user account management and access control.
- Set up and maintain computer backup systems using tools such as Veeam or Commvault.
- Configure and support network setups, including switches, routers, and general networking hardware.
- Coordinate with external vendors to assist with system installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Support MS-Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, ensuring smooth software operation.
- Administer and troubleshoot MS SQL database environments at a basic level.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, reliability, and security.
- Document technical procedures and provide end-user training when needed.
- Provide exposure and basic support for industrial automation software (Rockwell or Siemens HMI systems preferred).
- Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff or vendors as needed, ensuring timely resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Windows desktop management and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory support and management.
- Knowledge of backup tools such as Veeam and Commvault.
- Basic networking knowledge (IP configuration, VLANs, network troubleshooting).
- Experience working with MS-Office Suite (Excel and Word proficiency required).
- Familiarity with MS SQL database basics (queries, troubleshooting connectivity issues).
- Experience supporting or exposure to automation software, particularly Rockwell or Siemens HMI systems, is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional technical team.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant IT support experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience supporting IT infrastructure projects and systems upgrades.
