About This Role

The IT System Support Analyst II will provide advanced technical support for Windows desktop environments within a manufacturing setting. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement of IT systems, including Windows Active Directory, computer backup systems, and basic networking.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Windows desktop support and troubleshooting for end-users in a manufacturing environment.
• Administer and support Windows Active Directory, including user account management and access control.
• Set up and maintain computer backup systems using tools such as Veeam or Commvault.
• Configure and support network setups, including switches, routers, and general networking hardware.
• Coordinate with external vendors to assist with system installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Support MS-Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, ensuring smooth software operation.
• Administer and troubleshoot MS SQL database environments at a basic level.
• Monitor and maintain system performance, reliability, and security.
• Document technical procedures and provide end-user training when needed.
• Provide exposure and basic support for industrial automation software (Rockwell or Siemens HMI systems preferred).
• Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff or vendors as needed, ensuring timely resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Windows desktop management and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory support and management.
• Knowledge of backup tools such as Veeam and Commvault.
• Basic networking knowledge (IP configuration, VLANs, network troubleshooting).
• Experience working with MS-Office Suite (Excel and Word proficiency required).
• Familiarity with MS SQL database basics (queries, troubleshooting connectivity issues).
• Experience supporting or exposure to automation software, particularly Rockwell or Siemens HMI systems, is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional technical team.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Preferred Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant IT support experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience supporting IT infrastructure projects and systems upgrades.
