Job Title: Associate Scientist – Downstream Process Development
Overview:
The Associate Scientist will support the development and optimization of downstream purification processes for therapeutic protein candidates. This role involves executing laboratory studies, supporting biologics lifecycle development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in Product Development and Clinical Supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support downstream purification experiments and process development activities
- Execute experimental studies independently and analyze results
- Perform routine lab operations, including instrument calibration and maintenance
- Document experimental data in lab notebooks and technical reports
- Assist with lab management, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment
- Communicate findings through presentations and team discussions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of core scientific principles in biology and chemistry
- Ability to quickly learn new techniques and adapt in a lab environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset with effective interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Work Environment:
