The Opportunity This is a hands-on, high ownership AI engineering role for someone who wants to be close to the product and close to the problem. You'll work across the AI stack — from the models and data systems that power the core product to the voice and video experiences that patients interact with directly.
What You'll Be Building
Intelligent Product Features Design and ship AI-powered features that handle complex reasoning and decision making. You'll build the logic that keeps autonomous behavior safe, accurate and useful in a high stakes environment.
Data and Retrieval Systems Build the infrastructure that keeps information accurate, traceable and fast. You'll work on the pipelines, search systems and knowledge bases that the product depends on — making sure what gets surfaced is reliable and grounded in quality sources.
Conversational AI Develop real-time voice and video capabilities that feel natural, responsive and empathetic. You'll work on everything from speech models and language understanding to the conversational logic that makes interactions feel human.
Model Development and Evaluation Fine-tune and adapt foundation models for a specialized, high stakes domain. You'll design training pipelines, build evaluation frameworks and run experiments to continuously improve model quality, safety and performance.
Production Reliability Instrument and monitor AI systems in production — tracking performance, catching drift and building the observability that keeps everything running cleanly at scale.
What You Bring
- Python skills and experience shipping production AI or ML systems
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering and AI-powered product development
- Comfort working across the stack from data infrastructure to production debugging
- Experience with system design, schema migrations and data pipeline development
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and AWS
