Account Director - Healthcare Advertising
New York, NY (Hybrid)
Our client is looking for an experienced Account Director to join a leading, creatively driven healthcare advertising team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across global and US launch brands, spanning both pre-launch and launch campaigns, with exposure to fully integrated, multi-channel work.
You’ll play a key role as a strategic client partner, leading accounts end-to-end while collaborating closely with creative, strategy, and production teams to deliver high-impact work.
What You’ll Be Responsible For;
Strategic Client Leadership & Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels, from day-to-day contacts to senior stakeholders
- Act as a trusted strategic partner by deeply understanding client businesses, challenges, and commercial goals
- Identify and drive organic growth opportunities, building a consistent pipeline of work
- Lead strategic discussions, contribute to proposals, and confidently champion creative output
Commercial & Financial Ownership
- Own the financial health of accounts, ensuring revenue targets and profitability are met
- Oversee budgeting and scoping, maintaining strong financial control across all projects
Project & Delivery Excellence
- Lead end-to-end delivery across all projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met
- Partner closely with creative and production teams, providing feedback and ensuring best-in-class execution
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor junior team members, including Account Managers, while working closely with Project Management
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment
- Support coordination across global teams (e.g., US, UK, Canada)
Agency Contribution
- Contribute to a culture that values creativity, collaboration, and fresh thinking
- Bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and actively contribute to broader agency initiatives
Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech advertising
- Proven experience leading global or US brand launches
- Strong understanding of integrated campaigns across digital, print, film, and congress/experiential
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and drive strategic conversations
- Solid commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and account profitability
- Experience with platforms such as Veeva Promomats and CRM systems
