Overview:
MeeruAI is building a next-generation, multi-tenant SaaS platform that transforms financial operations using AI-powered agents. Built on a modern LangGraph-based architecture, this platform enables finance teams to automate AP, AR, forecasting, and financial analytics at enterprise scale.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the development and launch of MeeruAI’s flagship product. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role where you’ll own architecture, execution, and team growth while working in a hybrid model (3 days onsite in Pleasanton, CA).
You will lead a distributed engineering team (15–20 engineers across the US and offshore) and partner closely with Product, Design, and Business leaders.
What you will do:
- Own the technical vision and architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS platform
- Lead, hire, and scale a distributed engineering team
- Stay hands-on with architecture, code reviews, and critical-path development
- Drive execution from MVP through enterprise scale
- Establish engineering best practices for quality, security, and delivery
What we are looking for:
- 10 years of engineering experience, including 5 years in leadership roles
- Proven success building and scaling SaaS products (0→1 and beyond)
- Strong backend experience (Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, microservices)
- Experience managing teams of 10–20 engineers
- Strong product mindset and ability to operate in fast-paced environments
- AI/LLM systems, fintech, or enterprise B2B SaaS experience

This role requires on-site presence at least three (3) days per week in our Pleasanton office.
