Position Overview:
The Personal Lines Account Manager will support our clients with day-to-day policy servicing and account maintenance. This role is focused on customer service — not sales. You’ll be responsible for handling endorsements, policy questions, renewals, payments, and claims calls while maintaining positive and professional client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process policy changes and endorsements promptly and accurately.
- Handle inbound calls regarding billing, coverage questions, and claims.
- Record each client interaction within our agency management system.
- Accept and apply client payments and assist with billing issues.
- Verify and update client contact details (phones, emails, addresses).
- Provide clear and professional answers to coverage questions.
- Support renewals and maintain high levels of client retention.
- Assist walk-in clients and answer phones promptly and courteously.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure excellent service delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active California Property & Casualty (P&C) License required.
- Experience with at least two of the following carriers: Mercury Insurance, Safeco Insurance, Progressive Insurance, CA Fair Plan.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a personal lines service role.
- Experience with an agency management system (AMS preferred: HawkSoft).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and strong phone etiquette.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
