Primary Duties:
- Leads Sterile Processing operations, overseeing staff selection, training, performance management, and professional development to ensure a highly skilled and engaged team.
- Directs day-to-day departmental functions, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory standards while maintaining the highest quality and safety outcomes.
- Develops and implements processes to drive OR efficiency, including first-case start times, equipment and supply availability, cost reduction, and alignment with system contracts.
- Oversees sterilization, assembly, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and instrumentation in collaboration with Infection Prevention, Risk Management, and Operating Room leadership.
- Manages departmental resources and reporting systems, leveraging dashboards and data analysis to improve accountability, optimize supply chain functions, and support patient care excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree Healthcare related field Required.
- Master’s degree in health services administration, Business, or related field Preferred.
- 8-10 years with 3 years progressive Sterile Processing, Administrative & clinical experience Required.
- 5-7 years in an acute care hospital setting Required.
- Experience equivalency One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
