A Sterile Processing Technician Assists with the planning and management of the day-to-day operations and serves as a resource person for the Sterile Processing department. They will direct and check work of others in the absences of management personnel.

Primary Duties:
Supports daily operations and staffing by assisting in planning, supervising technical staff, and assuming leadership in the absence of management.
Collaborates across departments to ensure surgical schedules run smoothly, instruments are available, and interdepartmental communication is effective.
Performs hands-on sterile processing duties, including cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing instruments, and assembling trays and case carts according to standards.
Identifies and addresses operational issues, including inefficiencies, staffing challenges, equipment concerns, and customer complaints.
Contributes to team development through training, quality monitoring, in-services, orientation programs, and providing feedback and evaluation input.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
3-4 years of experience inclusive of six months in supervisory position (Required)
CRCST - Certified and Registered Central Service Technician certification (Required)
