In-Person Bilingual Nutritionist – Weight Loss Program (GLP-1 Patients)

About the Role
We are seeking a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our medical practice’s weight loss support program for patients using GLP-1 medications (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide). This is an in-person role based in Hempstead, focused on reinforcing healthy lifestyle habits and supporting sustainable weight management. Bilingual ability (English and Spanish) is required to meet the needs of our diverse patient population.
What You’ll Do
Conduct brief in-person patient consultations.
Review key lifestyle factors contributing to weight management, including diet, exercise, stress, medical conditions, and social determinants of health.
Educate patients on health risks associated with obesity, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and other chronic conditions.
Reinforce positive lifestyle strategies such as balanced diet, regular exercise, and reduced processed food intake.
Provide encouragement and accountability while maintaining a supportive, non-judgmental tone.
Document visit notes and escalate cases that may require additional clinical follow-up.
Ideal Candidate
Holds a current CDN license in New York or RD/RDN credential.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience in weight management or related fields.
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and support patients.
Organized and detail-oriented in documenting patient interactions.
Passionate about promoting long-term healthy living and sustainable outcomes.
