Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories across various age groups and medical conditions.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions by developing personalized treatment plans that incorporate medication administration, IV infusion therapy, suturing, and wound care.
- Perform specialized procedures such as spinal taps, catheterizations, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes, and airway management techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and Athenahealth to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory testing, sonography, medical imaging interpretation, and specimen collection/processing.
- Provide triage services in urgent care or telehealth settings to prioritize patient needs and facilitate timely interventions.
- Engage in case management activities such as discharge planning, utilization review, and working within Workers' Compensation law to support patient recovery and compliance.
- Deliver specialized care in areas like hospice & palliative medicine, dementia & memory care, behavioral health management, infectious disease care, and post-acute settings.
- Assist with medical documentation related to CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding for diagnoses, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at advancing healthcare practices.
- Educate patients on health coaching topics including nutrition, family planning, medication adherence, and disease prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning and outpatient follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently or under physician supervision.
- Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine units—including ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I & II trauma centers—and outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and medical terminology relevant to broad-spectrum patient care.
- Experience administering injections (including IV insertion), suturing techniques, catheterization procedures (urinary or vascular), and sterile processing protocols.
- Skilled in performing advanced procedures such as spinal taps or dermal filler injections; familiarity with esthetic laser treatments is a plus.
- Critical care experience—preferably within ICU or PICU settings—and familiarity with ventilator management are highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care centers; experience with triage is essential.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding standards for billing purposes; understanding of Workers' Compensation law is advantageous.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations including children (pediatrics), elderly (geriatrics), individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
