This is a full-time on-site position for a Medical Coder based in Bethesda, MD. The Medical Coder will be responsible for accurately coding healthcare services, procedures, and diagnoses according to regulatory requirements and industry standards. Daily tasks include reviewing medical records, assigning appropriate codes, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, and collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify information when needed. The role requires adherence to quality and productivity benchmarks to support revenue cycle processes effectively.

• Proven Medical Coding experience and familiarity with coding practices
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management concepts
• Certification such as RHIT or equivalent is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in coding assignments
• Proficiency in healthcare compliance and understanding of payer requirements
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals
• Familiarity with coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related field
