Dispatcher (On-Site)

The position of Dispatcher with MedRide, LLC is responsible to schedule and coordinate drivers to transport clients to and from medical appointments in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

This is an on-site non-supervisory role. Shift hours 10pm-7pm M-F

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Help schedule drivers daily trips in real time; coordinates most efficient routes for each driver.
• Assign drivers to most counties in CO; forecast maneuvering drivers to help in busy counties when needed.
• Develop a strong relationship with drivers.
• Ensures on time pick-ups and drop off of clients.
• Determination to learn dispatch and scheduling software.
• May coordinate activities during emergency situations.
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity for clients.
• Anticipates weather complications along routes and at the driver’s destinations; communicates delays and route changes, as necessary.
• Monitors drivers working hours to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
• Communicates to supervisor any concerning issues or events that may occur.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to prepare and assign routes.
• Strong leadership skills to ensure drivers compliance with direction and assignments.
• Basic understanding of geographical area and mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing.
• Must show attention to detail.
• Can work at a fast pace while under pressure.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 years related experience and execution of similar duties in non-emergency medical transport. Required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

• Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)
