Job Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist – Benefits & Recruitment to support employee benefits administration and end‑to‑end recruitment activities for staff positions.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Support:
- Support full‑cycle recruitment for assigned roles under the guidance of HR leadership.
- Coordinate and post job openings on job boards and internal career pages.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and priorities.
- Conduct weekly recruitment meetings with managers to review open roles, pipeline status, candidate applications, and interview scheduling.
- Screen resumes and conduct HR phone/virtual screenings to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and interview teams.
- Prepare and extend employment offers, including written offer letters.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in ADP Comprehensive HRIS.
- Track job requisitions, candidate status, and hiring activity using a recruitment tracker.
- Ensure compliance with record‑keeping and documentation requirements.
- Generate basic recruiting reports for HR leadership as needed.
- Assist with administration of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSA/HSA, and retirement plans.
- Process employee benefits enrollments, terminations, and life event changes.
- Respond to routine employee questions regarding benefits plans and eligibility.
- Assist with planning and communication for annual open enrollment.
- Maintain benefits documentation and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
- Partner with human resources team on new hire onboarding, including benefits enrollment and orientation materials.
- Maintain employee records in compliance with national record retention requirements.
- Assist with tracking and documentation related to NJ Earned Sick Leave, NJ Family Leave Act (NJFLA), FMLA, and Paid Family Leave (PFL).
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee information.
- Provide general HR administrative support and assist with special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0–2 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or talent acquisition (internships included).
- 1-2 years in recruiting and/or benefits administration.
- Familiarity with ADP Comprehensive HRIS/ATS platforms and job posting tools preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional communication skills and confidence working with hiring managers and candidates.
- Willingness to learn New Jersey employment and benefits regulations.
- Experience using ATS systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday, ADP, UKG, iCIMS).
- Experience coordinating interviews or managing recruitment pipelines.
