Collections Assistant- Remote (PA or MI locals)

The result is lower expenses and increased productivity for the auto insurance and workers’ compensation insurance carriers; third party administrators (TPAs); and government entities we serve.Overview:The Collections Assistant plays a key role in supporting the collections or accounts receivable department by managing overdue accounts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication with clients or customers.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and manage assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.Contact clients to discuss overdue payments and develop repayment plans.Maintain detailed records of collection activity and client interactions.Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and account status.Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies.Prepare and send regular reports on collection status.Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.Perform administrative tasks to support the efficiency of the collections team.Skills & Qualifications:Strong communication and negotiation skills.Attention to detail and organizational abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).Familiarity with billing systems and collection techniques.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Previous experience in collections, billing, or customer service is preferred.Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.EEOC STATEMENT:Medlogix is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
