Medler Electric Company has been serving customers since 1918 and is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable individual for the role of Inside Sales/Customer Service Associate position in our Flint location. The ideal candidate will have previous electrical sales experience, industry knowledge and is someone who makes excellent customer service a top priority. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer incoming phone calls and receive telephone orders promptly and courteously.
- Greet customers courteously at the counter
- Sell distributor products and provide services.
- Give customers price and availability information.
- Support the account manager(s) in all day-to-day sales activities.
- Recognize when special pricing is required and provide competitive quotations.
- Follow up on all quotations, in an attempt to write orders, or to gather information for use in future quotations.
- Understand product applications and assist customers in their product selections.
- Know Medler Electric’s inventory, including substitutions.
- Assist the Purchasing Department by using a “stock out” reporting process for requested stock items with insufficient available inventory.
- Participate in training to enhance product knowledge.
- Proactively expedite customer orders when necessary.
- Exchange customer related information with associates.
- Maintain a clean and neat work area.
- Display a high degree of integrity and professionalism in all interactions with Medler Electric associates, suppliers, and customers.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Branch Manager; where applicable, perform these duties following documented ISO processes.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- Knowledge of electrical products.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50lbs.
- Pass Drug Test and background check.
- Basic computer skills.
- Continuing education required.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per year
