What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Stack Mobile Developer position at MEDL Mobile?
We’re looking for a talented Full Stack Mobile Developer to help build a mobile-first fintech platform enabling secure wallet based transactions, cross-border payments, and agent-based financial services in emerging markets.

What You’ll Do...
- Design and develop mobile applications (iOS & Android) using React Native and/or native technologies
- Build and maintain secure transaction flows, wallet systems, and payment experiences
- Develop backend services and APIs to support financial transactions and real-time processing
- Integrate with third-party financial services (mobile money providers, banking APIs, KYC/AML vendors)
- Implement fraud detection, risk controls, and monitoring systems
- Ensure data security, encryption, and compliance across all layers of the platform
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Compliance teams to deliver intuitive and trustworthy user experiences
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability in low-bandwidth environments
- Contribute to system architecture, technical decisions, and ongoing platform evolution
What You Bring...
- 4 years of professional software development experience (sorry, school projects don't count)
- 2 years building mobile apps with React Native (or strong native iOS/Android experience)
- Experience developing production-ready mobile applications at scale
- Strong backend experience with Node.js (or similar) and RESTful APIs
- Proficiency with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar databases
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of software architecture, OOP, and SDLC best practices
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and SDKs
Fintech Experience (Strongly Preferred)
- Experience building or contributing to:
- Digital wallets or payment systems
- Transaction processing or ledger systems
- Banking, fintech, or money movement platforms
- Familiarity with:
- KYC/AML requirements and financial compliance systems
- Fraud detection, transaction monitoring, and risk scoring
- Secure data handling and encryption standards
- Experience integrating with:
- Payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Plaid, mobile money APIs, etc.)
Bonus Points
- Experience working in emerging markets or fintech ecosystems
- Familiarity with USSD, SMS-based systems, or agent-based financial services
- Experience optimizing apps for low-connectivity environments
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices architecture

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
