Registered Nurse, Lab Collection / Customer Service - 253471

The Registered Nurse (RN) position is with a diagnostic testing company providing a new service to existing Wilmington clients: in-person patient sample pickup service. This field-based Registered Nurse will provide doctor office and patient home sample collection services.

Work Schedule: M-F 9am-5pm (no weekends or holidays)

Field-based Role

Territory: City of Wilmington, NC

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct patient sample pickup visits to doctor offices, clinics, and patient homes for shipment to the company's testing labs. (Will not be performing medical procedures)
• Serve as an informational / educational resource to patients and clinic staff about the testing process, services, etc. Coordinate with the HCP to ensure timely and proper collection of specimens.
• Provide excellent customer service and establish relationships with clinic staff, physicians, and patients through repeat visits.
• Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams to effectively implement this new client service program.
• Ensure sample integrity and maintain confidentiality.
• Drop off daily collected samples at FedEx for shipment each day by 4:30pm (daily shipping deadline).

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of North Carolina
• 2 to 4 years of direct patient care experience that includes hospital work experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Highly detail-oriented with strong time management skills
• Able to work independently
• Reliable and dependable to coordinate the timely shipment of patient samples every day
• Valid driver's license and reliable automobile transportation

Misc:

• Mileage Reimbursement provided at 72 cents/mile
• Will not be performing any medical procedures
