Position Overview
We are seeking Registered Dietitians (RD/RDN) to support the U.S. Air Force's CRAFT Human Performance Program. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert in operational dietetics, helping optimize the health, resilience, cognitive function, and performance of Air Force aircrew.
This is a highly collaborative, mission-driven opportunity where you'll work alongside Cognitive Performance Coaches, Strength Coaches, Physical Therapists, and Flight Medicine teams to directly impact warfighter readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and group nutrition counseling tailored to aircrew performance and operational demands
- Develop and deliver performance nutrition curriculum and educational briefings
- Conduct clinical-level nutritional assessments and document encounters in military electronic health records
- Maintain accurate documentation in the CRAFT system of record within 72 hours
- Spend at least 20% of duty hours embedded within flying squadrons and aircrew environments
- Participate in interdisciplinary human performance initiatives and quarterly synchronization meetings
- Assist with operational nutrition programming and environmental assessments
- Maintain nutrition workspaces and equipment in compliance with medical infection control standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an ACEND-accredited Nutrition/Dietetics program
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time Dietitian experience
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Ability to obtain or possess a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (T3) security investigation
- Completion of the CRAFT Dietetics Qualification Course upon onboarding
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous military or military healthcare experience
- Experience supporting high-performance populations, athletics, or operational environments
- Strong presentation and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
