Certified Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry & Outreach Specialist
Location: (Onsite) Strip District, PA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Work Environment: Non-traditional pharmacy setting (administrative-focused)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. This role blends precision data entry with professional outreach, supporting a seamless prescription fulfillment process in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prescription Data Entry: Accurately input prescription information into the pharmacy management system, ensuring all entries meet high-quality standards.
- Provider & Pharmacy Outreach: Conduct outbound calls to physician offices to obtain new prescriptions and coordinate with external pharmacies for prescription transfers.
- Sig Code Translation: Interpret and translate complex medical "sig codes" into clear, patient-friendly instructions.
- Queue Management: Manage a high-volume work queue, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet daily productivity goals.
- Workflow Flexibility: Adapt to a rotating workflow, with some days focused on data entry and others on phone-based coordination.
- Inter-professional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, pharmacies, and internal teams to ensure efficient medication processing.
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
- Experience with prescription data entry
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a data entry and/or phone-based role
