Substance Use Disorder & Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Competitive Salary
Salary: $115,000 - $140,000
Join a mission-driven outpatient healthcare organization dedicated to expanding access to evidence-based treatment for individuals living with substance use disorders. We are seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping patients achieve long-term recovery.
This position combines direct patient care with medication management, integrated team collaboration, and the opportunity to provide both in-person and telehealth services.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations
- Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including oral and injectable buprenorphine and naltrexone
- Administer intramuscular injections safely and effectively
- Monitor patient progress, medication adherence, and treatment outcomes
- Educate patients on recovery, relapse prevention, and healthy lifestyle changes
- Collaborate with physicians, counselors, and peer support specialists to provide comprehensive care
- Complete timely and accurate electronic medical record documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state/federal regulations
- Utilize crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when appropriate
- Provide telehealth visits through the EHR platform when not seeing patients in clinic
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- 8:30 AM-4:30 PM
- One Saturday rotation per month
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active Colorado NP or PA license
- Active Colorado DEA registration
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a high-volume outpatient setting
- Passion for addiction medicine and patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of Physician Assistant experience (NPs with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply)
