Nursing Director / Clinical Nurse Supervisor (RN)
Location: Eagan, MN
Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 pending years of experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday with weekend rotation requirement
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse leader to join a boutique memory care community in Eagan, MN as a Nursing Director / Clinical Nurse Supervisor. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a nurse who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional care to memory care residents while helping drive operational excellence.
This role goes beyond a traditional Director of Nursing opportunity. Ownership is seeking a leader with an “owner’s mentality” who is eager to grow with the organization long term. The position offers future opportunities for profit sharing, expanded leadership responsibilities, and support in obtaining an LALD license, fully sponsored by ownership.
The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with Minnesota state survey experience, a passion for memory care, and the ability to balance leadership responsibilities with direct resident support when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations within a boutique memory care community
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and support nursing and caregiving staff
- Develop staffing plans and ensure appropriate clinical coverage based on resident acuity
- Maintain compliance with Minnesota assisted living regulations and state licensing requirements
- Lead state surveys, complaint investigations, and regulatory follow-up activities
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, infection control plans, and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with ownership, leadership, pharmacies, physicians, hospice providers, and outside care teams
Resident Care Responsibilities
- Support residents with clinical assessments and oversight of ADLs
- Perform nursing assessments, wound assessments, and monitoring for decline in condition
- Coordinate care planning and communication with families, POAs, and outside providers
- Assist staff with resident care duties when needed
- Ensure exceptional quality of care and resident outcomes within the memory care setting
Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with budgeting, staffing oversight, scheduling, and performance management
- Conduct audits and maintain inspection-ready documentation and records
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, supervision, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection prevention, and safety standards
- Participate in emergency preparedness and operational planning
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota RN license required
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience within senior care, assisted living, long-term care, or memory care settings
- Experience managing Minnesota state surveys required
- Strong understanding of assisted living regulations and compliance standards
- Experience working with memory care residents in a leadership capacity strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable balancing administrative leadership with direct patient care responsibilities
- Strong computer and documentation skills
