What You’ll Do:
As a skilled automotive painter, you will prime, sand, paint, and buff emergency vehicles in an accordance with consumer requirements for full customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities in the Roles:
· You will sand and prime the vehicle surface using appropriate techniques and tools to ensure proper preparation for paint application.
· You will apply PPG paint to each vehicle in accordance with customer requirements ensuring no flaws or defects for high quality work.
· You will buff the vehicle using proper techniques to ensure a glossy, professional finish.
· You will perform paint repair before first and final buy-off to ensure zero defects.
· You will assist the other team members as needed to ensure departmental success.
Position Requirements:
· Education- High school diploma or GED preferred; will consider an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
· Experience: 1 year
· Functional Skills: Ability to learn basic ambulance building skills, basic tape measurement reading and general skills as needed.
· Language Skills: Basic reading, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Leadership/Behaviors: Strong work ethic and value; dependable and self-motivated; solid focus on the customer and processes; able to work independently and within a team
· Culture Match Behaviors: Respectful of team members and policies, goal and customer-focused; has the ability to stay focused on quality, as well as producing and enhancing efficiencies within the team. Requires and excellent work ethic to lead by example.
Other Important Information:
Pay: Hourly base rate plus additional hourly bonus based on performance and attendance incentives, annual bonuses, and the compensation will grow as the team member grows!
Reports To: Supervisor
Core Hours: 5:00 am- 1:30 pm
Typical Work Week: Monday-Friday; 40 hours a week on average; some weekend work
