PAC I, ER | PRN | NIGHTS (2822)

POSITION PURPOSE:
Interviews incoming patient or representative and enters information required for admission by performing the following duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interviews patient or representative to obtain accurate demographics.
• Explains hospital regulations such as visiting hours, payment of accounts, and schedule of charges.
• Verification and eligibility of insurance benefits
• Enters patient information and routes completed paperwork to appropriate departments. Obtains signed statement from patient to protect hospital's interests.
• Accepts and stores patient valuables when necessary. Receives payments on account.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; six to twelve months related experience and/or training preferred.
