Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting products from our distribution center to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport products to designated locations.
- Load and unload product using appropriate equipment, including forklifts and cherry pickers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory management at the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to build and fabricate orders as necessary.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts, cherry pickers, and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks as required by company policies.
