What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiscal Officer position at Medina County District Library?
The Medina County District Library (MCDL) seeks a full-time, experienced, Fiscal Officer to join our team. The position leads the finance department and the financial operations of a $10 million annual operating budget.
The Fiscal Officer reports to the Board of Trustees and serves on the library’s administrative team, which is responsible for implementing the Board’s vision and direction. MCDL seeks to inspire both the public and staff to be lifelong learners and will invest in the professional growth of the successful candidate by offering generous PTO, wellness benefits and state pension.
MCDL is located in Northeast Ohio and has six facilities and a bookmobile serving 155,000 residents. The county’s rural beauty and proximity to Akron and Cleveland make it one of Ohio’s fastest growing counties.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field with a minimum of seven (7) years accounting experience. Master’s degree in related field and/or Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) preferred. Ability to meet bonding requirements. ADP and Software Solutions, Inc. system experience highly desired. Intermediate Excel Skills required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered, with a preference for public sector service.
