What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Medicine Shoppe Pevely?
We are in immediate need of a full time, part-time, or as needed pharmacy technician at the Medicine Shoppe. Hours available are:
- Monday: 9 am - 6 pm
- Tuesday: 9 am - 6 pm
- Wednesday: 9 am - 6 pm
- Thursday: OFF
- Friday: 8 am - 5 pm
- Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm every other Saturday
Hours may vary depending on the needs of our patients. We have high interest in a technician trained to administer vaccines and/or willing to become a community health worker.
Job Responsibilities
- Type new prescriptions
- Assist in counting and filling prescriptions
- Answer phone
- Listen to messages on answering machine
- Handle insurance problems and rejections
- Make doctor calls for problems or refill requests
- Take new prescriptions and transfers over the phone
- Manage inventory
- Put drug order away
- Ring customers out at register
- Process prescription refills
- Give vaccines if licensed
- Anything to take care of patients

- Immunization certification (assistance can be provided)
- Immunization continuing education completion (assistance can be provided)

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
