Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated med pass nurse to accurately dispense scheduled medications, verify patient identity, monitors side effects, documents administration, and collaborates with other healthcare staff in the setting of an assisted living, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols.
Duties
- Document vital signs
- Administer medications
- Document all patient interactions accurately
- Educate patients on health coaching topics such as nutrition, disease management (e.g., infectious disease care), family planning, and dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to prevent cross-contamination
Requirements
- Valid nursing license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA standards
