About the Role:
The Ultrasound Technologist plays a critical role in the diagnostic imaging team by performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The technologist will work on a PRN (pro re nata) basis, providing flexible support across various clinical settings within the United States. Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent.
- Valid state licensure or certification as required by the state of practice.
- Proven experience performing ultrasound procedures in a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialized certifications in areas such as abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, vascular, or cardiac sonography.
- Experience working in multiple clinical environments including hospitals, outpatient clinics, or mobile imaging services.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a PRN role.
Responsibilities:
