Medical Assistant (Nephrology) – Suffolk, VA
Medical Temporaries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a full-time, temp-to-hire position with a healthcare provider in Suffolk, VA (23434).
Position Details
- Full-time, temp-to-hire
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- No weekends
- Pay: $18.00–$22.00/hour, depending on experience
- Weekly pay
- Direct deposit

Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant in an outpatient kidney clinic, you will provide quality patient care while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Responsibilities include:
- Obtaining patient vitals and reconciling medications
- Rooming patients and documenting information in the EHR
- Assisting providers during patient visits
- Administering injections
- Calling prescriptions into pharmacies
- Conducting patient follow-up calls
- Performing clinical and clerical duties
- Completing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred; new graduates may be considered
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
- Kidney/nephrology experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and multitask accurately
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
