What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Biller position at MEDICAL SPECIALISTS ASSOCIATED?
- Professional attitude when interacting with colleagues, patients, and providers via verbal, email, or text.
- Review of locked claims for coding accuracy prior to submitting claims for payment, with the goal being 100% clean claims.
- Resolves Rejections and Denials in a timely manner.
- Posts and takes payments from patients.
- Handles billing inquiries from the office and from patients.
- Meet with team and Billing Manager on a regular basis.
- Minimum 3 or more years of experience in healthcare billing and collection practices, working with Medicare and Commercial insurance billing. Credentialing knowledge helpful.
- 1-2 years EClinicalWorks experience preferred.
- Computer literate and problem-solving mindset. Well organized and detail oriented. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Must be able to work independently as well as part of the team.
- Hours: M-F 7:30-4:30 PM
- Certified coder a plus
