Performance Medical Solutions is seeking a Part-Time skilled Install/Repair Technician with strong mechanical ability to install, diagnose, and repair mobility and medical equipment for veterans and patients. This role is ideal for technicians with backgrounds in automotive repair, HVAC, lift installation, equipment installation, or field service.
You will work independently in the field and in the warehouse installing vehicle lifts, stair lifts, power mobility equipment, and performing mechanical troubleshooting and repairs. This is a respected technical role with autonomy, stability, and specialized training.

What You’ll Do:
Installation & Mechanical Repair
- Install vehicle lifts, stair lifts, vertical platform lifts, modular ramps, and adaptive mobility equipment.
- Diagnose and repair power wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, and related equipment.
- Assemble, inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and replace parts as needed.
- Complete installations and repairs according to manufacturer and company standards.
Field Service & Technical Work
- Travel locally to patient homes and facilities (no overnight travel)
- Operate company vehicle and transport equipment safely
- Manage daily service routes independently
- Maintain service records, installation documentation, and equipment logs
Equipment Preparation & Technical Support
- Prepare equipment for delivery and installation
- Assist with parts inventory and equipment readiness
- Ensure all equipment is properly assembled, tested, and functioning before installation
Ideal Backgrounds

- Automotive Technician or Mechanic
- HVAC Technician or Installer
- Accessibility Lift Installer (vehicle lifts, stair lifts, chair lifts)

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of mechanical repair, installation, or field service experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 50-60 pounds regularly
- Professional and respectful demeanor when working with patients
- Ability to pass criminal background and driving record check
