Registered Nurse – Hospice Care | Richlands, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $48,006 – $60,008
At MSA Home Health & Hospice, part of the Medical Services of America family, we believe hospice care is more than a service—it’s a calling. We're currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Medical Social Worker to join our team and provide meaningful, end-of-life care to patients and families in the Bluefield, Richlands, & Grundy (Tazewell, Buchanan), VA areas.
What You’ll Do:
- Provides social work services in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.
- Works with the interdisciplinary team directly, or through coordination of team members, to provide appropriate assessment and support patients and families.
- Provides assessment for normal and complicated grief and provides bereavement counseling as appropriate.
- Serves as a liaison with other community resources.
Job Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's level social work degree from a school of social work accredited or approved by the Council of Social Work Education.
- Currently licensed to practice as a social worker in the state of VA.
- Minimum of one-year Hospice experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
