Medical Services of America is seeking a Full-Time Licensing & Commercial Contract Manager at our Corporate office in Lexington, SC.
This position is responsible for and supervises all operations and activities of the company’s managed care, credentialing, and licensing. Secures new managed care contracts, renegotiates and maintains current contracts and ensures that contract reimbursement results in optimal reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have experience in the establishment and ongoing maintenance of public and private licensing and regulatory enrollments such as Medicare and the facilitation of change of ownership processes related to the sale and acquisition of facilities.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Develops and maintains a productive relationship with insurance carriers/payors.
- Identifies opportunities & coordinates the execution, implementation, and renewal of payor contracts.
- Responsible for meeting face to face (if required) with payors to obtain maximum rates.
- Reviews existing payor contracts, identifies opportunities, and obtains increases as appropriate.
- Reviews and coordinates company (existing and new) operating licenses for operation.
- Ensures all licenses are up to date and renewed timely.
- Oversees operations of the Managed Care and Licensing staff.
- Collaborates with interdepartmental resources to ensure compliance and efficiencies are maintained.
- Meets with Corporate Executives regularly to determine and execute contracting/departmental needs.
- Ensures that all departmental information is current and stored accurately.
- Ensures contracts comply within proper legal directives and reimbursement processes of the organization.
- Maintains exemplary customer service and relationships with payors and company staff/agencies.
- Liaison between billing and collections teams addressing and resolving issues as identified.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative teamwork environment.
- Ensures that productivity goals are met to support the organizations overall goals and objectives.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as directed/needed.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years managed care, contracting, credentialing, or licensing experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare products and services preferred.
- Previous supervisory and management experience preferred.
- Excellent computer skills required.
