Job position: Pharmacist (Inpatient)Job type: (Temp to Hire)Start Date: Dec 31st Pay rate: $60 to 65/hrHours per week: 40 hours per weekJob Location: Manhattan, NYKey ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to inpatient units.Review, verify, and dispense medication orders in accordance with hospital and regulatory policies.Participate in patient care rounds and offer evidence-based clinical recommendations.Manage and monitor medication therapies, including antimicrobial stewardship, anticoagulation, pain management, and chronic disease management.Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation, order verification, and medication profile review.Oversee and troubleshoot Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets.Conduct medication reconciliation and patient counseling as needed.Support quality improvement initiatives involving medication safety and clinical protocols.Precept pharmacy students/residents if applicable.QualificationsDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy required.Active and unrestricted state pharmacist license.Hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience required.Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record and Pyxis automated dispensing systems required.Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, medication safety, and clinical guidelines.Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.Preferred: PGY-1/PGY-2 residency, Board Certification (BCPS, BCIDP, etc.), experience in high-acuity settings (ICU, ED, oncology, etc.).
