Collaborates with business leaders on reporting and analyses to support decision-making and directs system enhancements and operational integrations.
Responsibilities
- Leads a team to ensure accurate, compliant and timely processing of commissions, overrides, bonuses, and incentives. Provides strategic guidance and mentorship to promote staff development and critical thinking.
- Manages workload distribution, performance management, and process improvement initiatives to ensure operational efficiency. Resolves complex payment-related issues. Maintains accountability for reviewing and updating departmental policies and procedures to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Manages the evaluation, measurement, and reporting of the financial impact of commission expenditures, including broker performance reporting, ROI analysis of commission programs, and fulfillment of ad hoc analysis requests.
- Leads annual and recurring budgeting and forecasting for commission expenses, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with financial goals through analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Directs and manages complex financial analysis as requested.
- Supports quarterly Incentive Committee to gain approval on changes in payment arrangements. Ensures payments comply with committee’s approved methodology.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.
- 8 years progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, 3 years which are in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in the health insurance industry preferred.
- Experience with commission programs preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of financial analysis, cost accounting, budgeting and financial systems and the ability to apply advanced concepts and strategies at a corporate level.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and financial systems skills.
- Ability to facilitate the acceptance and implementation of change and innovation.
- Ability to build and manage a successful team and create partnerships within the organization.
