Job Summary:
Medical City Plano is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care in a hospital setting. This role encompasses comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care, with privileges to perform clinically relevant procedures under indirect physician supervision.
Qualified Candidates:
- 24-hour shifts
- Master's degree or equivalent from an accredited midwifery program
- Certified Nurse Midwife through the American Midwifery Certification Board
- Active Certified Nurse Midwife with current experience delivering babies or Registered Nurse with recent, relevant Labor & Delivery experience seeking transition into a CNM role
- Active, unrestricted Texas RN and APRN license (or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Eligible for hospital privileges, including clinical competency validation, case log documentation, and proctoring
- Opportunity to participate in operative obstetrics, including surgical first assist, within a physician-led model
- Demonstrated competency or willingness to complete ultrasound training and required proctoring
- Comfortable working in a hospital labor and delivery environment
