What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Nursing Officer position at Medical Center Barbour?
Education: Graduate of a state accredited school of professional nursing and current licensure to practice as
an RN in the state of practice. Bachelors Degree required/Masters Degree preferred.
Experience: Desirable characteristics include proficiency in written and verbal communications, possess
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public; and a minimum
of five years supervisory experience in a health care institution. Must be able to follow
directions and to inform work according to department standards when no directions are given.
Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Licenses/Certificates: Currently licensed to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Alabama and CPR
