What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN - LVN position at MEDICA HEALTH MANAGEMENT INC?
LVNs are responsible for nursing care in accordance with the client's plan of care, and includes comprehensive health and psychosocial evaluation, monitoring of the client's condition, health, coordination of services, teaching and training activities, and provision of direct nursing care and other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications:What this team member needs to succeed at the Agency:
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing and currently licensed by the state.
- Must be CPR Certified or willing to obtain certification prior to starting.
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates.
- One or more years in a home health or hospice agency or in a hospital setting.
- Previous home health and/or hospice experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
- Clear understanding of Medicare Hospice Benefits and certification requirements.
- It requires excellent rapport, understanding, and communication with the patients and their family members.
