Standing Order Specialist
Summary: Standing orders are transportation trips set up for members who have the same appointment days and times every week or every other week for an extended period.
Essential Functions
- Setting up standing order submissions by entering them into the computer system.
- Contacting transportation providers about standing order request or available standing orders.
- Making sure that all the members' contact information is correct and that the standing order's information matches what is already in the computer system.
- Contact the members or facilities if any information is unclear or missing.
- Checking the computer system for expiring standing orders and extending them when needed.
- Canceling standing orders upon member or facility requesting.
- Editing standing orders upon member or facility request. Changes may be phone numbers, addresses, appointment times, or appointment dates.
- Rerouting trips from one transportation provider to another upon member, facility, or transportation provider request.
- Answering incoming emails from facilities, transportation providers, and upper management.
- Answering phone calls from transportation providers and facilities about any standing order questions or concerns.
- Fill in with dispatch when the department is short or slow. This entails answering incoming calls, replying to dispatch emails and working unassigned trips.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Previous dispatch experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to analyze schedules and assign resources appropriately, efficiently and cost effectively.
- Must possess good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to focus on assigned tasks.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with internal departments and external facilities/providers to determine best practices for ongoing quality satisfaction.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must take direction well.
- Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service software applications.
- Professional appearance.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
