Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in surgical nursing and be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an integral part of the surgical team, you will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete
- Assist in the administration of anesthesia and monitor patients' vital signs throughout procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols
- Provide post-operative care, including pain management, airway management, and patient education
- Conduct patient assessments to identify complications during the perioperative period
- Accurately document nursing interventions and patient responses in electronic health records
- Participate in ongoing education and training on operating room best practices and technologies
Education Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RN)
Licensure/Certifications:
Active RN license in good standing
Years of Experience:
Operating room experience preferred
ASC Experience Required?
