Medfield Public Schools is seeking General Food Service Workers for the 2025-2026 school year. The following positions are available: 1) Middle School -General Food Service Worker 10:00am - 1:00pm - 3 hours/day Total Hours/Week: 152) Wheelock School - General Food Service Worker 11:00am - 1:15pm - 3.25 hours/day Total Hours/Week: 16.253) Memorial School- General Food Service Worker 11:00am - 1:00pm - 2 hours/day Total Hours/Week: 104) Substitute Food Service Worker - District 8am - 1:30pm - as neededQUALIFICATIONS: Ability to accurately weigh, measure and use basic math skills Ability to follow instructions & take initiative in performance of assigned tasks Physical ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 45 pounds Food service experience is preferredESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Complete tasks that are assigned by the cafeteria manager. Serve food to students and staff. Prepare food per recipe.
Appropriately clean all cooking utensils, kitchen equipment and kitchen area. Effectively use equipment to prepare food as directed. Performs all tasks in accordance with guidelines.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Reports to work at scheduled time with proper uniform. Adheres to all school district rules & building rules & regulations.
Utilizes proper hand washing techniques. Participates in meetings, training sessions as scheduled.Must successfully undergo fingerprint based National Criminal Record Investigations (CHRI) , CORI and SORI checks.2025-2026 Salary Ranges - Collective Bargaining Unit Contracts Collective Bargaining Unit ContractsUnit A: $55,234- $118,363 (Doctorate to $125,567)Unit B: $20.25/hr to $32.61/hrCustodians: $46,780 - $59,130Food Service: $16.23/hr - $20.17/hrAdmin Assistants: $20.78/hr - $29.77/hr
