Job Summary
Medfab Precision Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support the inspection of precision medical components. This role is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections, supporting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), and ensuring all parts meet customer and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on inspection experience, a solid understanding of GD&T, and basic operational knowledge of CMM and optical measurement systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections of medical device components
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Complete and support First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
- Operate CMM and optical measurement equipment at a basic to intermediate level
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain inspection records
- Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and customer requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized inspection area and uphold documentation control standards
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience inspecting precision machined parts, preferably for medical devices
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T
- Experience with FAIR, in-process, and final inspections
- Basic operational experience with CMM and optical measurement machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and documentation skills
- Proficiency with basic computer systems for data entry and recordkeeping
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an ISO 13485 or regulated manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with SPC and quality control methodologies
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams
