What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Specialist position at MedEx Medical Transport?
Under the supervision of the Billing Manager, the Billing Specialists are responsible for the review, verification and coding of all Electronic Health Records. They work closely with the Quality Assurance and Compliance Department to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to ambulance billing and coding.
This position requires strong skills in computer literacy, medical terminology and team communication.
- Education level of High school diploma at minimum
- 2 years experience in the healthcare field preferred
- Experience with billing/coding healthcare claims preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Clean criminal background
