- Conducting in-depth interviews with veterans and service members, including but not limited to taking health histories and performing assessments.
- Ordering diagnostics.
- Reviewing service medical and service records.
- Formulating diagnoses.
- Writing clear, evidence-based medical opinions.
- Utilizes application of assessment and evaluation in formulating medical diagnoses and opinions.
- Prepares timely, legible, and complete documentation of all claimant care as provided by law, regulation, and established policy.
- Demonstrates an awareness of and sensitivity to veterans' claimant rights.
- Applies safety principles as identified by established policy.
- Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices.
- Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to claimant confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Participates in quality improvement and utilization review activities.
- Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with claimants, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in volume, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality, timeliness, and customer service.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Salary : $56 - $59
